Nordic-style butterfly house made of solid larch wood. The hollowing out of the wooden surface brings out the grain of the wood well. The butterfly house was burned with a torch and preserved with beeswax.
The butterfly house offers butterflies and moths a natural shelter. In spring, for example, it serves as a resting place for butterfly hawks flying in from North Africa and the Mediterranean to spend the winter. For example, peacock butterflies can be found here.
Place the butterfly house in a sunny spot near the flower beds and the butterflies will soon take up residence. Butterfly houses are also used by butterflies that overwinter in them.
