The insect hotel is made of larch hexagon with a diameter of 30 cm. To treat the wood, I used the tried and tested method of torch burning and subsequent surface preservation with melted beeswax and fermage.
The back of the insect hotel is covered with a net. The façade is reinforced with natural coconut rope attached to pegs on the outside wall of the house. Other variations I make: HEXA 30cm Mercedes, or a half-length insect house.
The insect house should preferably be placed near the flower beds in partial shade. Place the insect house at eye level of the children. They can better observe what is happening in nature.
